Candela PicoWay^® utilizes unique picosecond laser technology, that delivers ultra-short pulses of high-intensity laser energy to remove unwanted tattoos. This ultra-fast delivery of concentrated high-power energy breaks up and shatters the targeted ink clusters into tiny ink particles but leaves the outer layer of the skin intact. The body naturally removes the tiny ink particles over time. The ultra-fast and ultra-short pulse means less discomfort during the treatment.

Our clinical team will apply a topical numbing cream before the treatment to minimize discomfort.

For an additional charge, patients can purchase a PFD Patch for use before treatment. The PFD Patch allows for a more effective treatment due to faster ink clearance and helps further reduce discomfort.

How many sessions will I need to remove an unwanted tattoo?

The number of laser sessions will depend on the size and color of the unwanted tattoo. The PicoWay laser breaks up the tattoo ink into smaller particles that your body gets rid of over time. The number of treatment sessions will be discussed during your complimentary consultation.
