How Much Does miraDry® Cost?
The cost of your miraDry® treatment at Cosmetic Enhancement Center of New England will depend on a number of factors. Some patients may need more than one treatment session. We will consider this and other factors in order to provide you with the full cost of treatment during your complimentary consultation. miraDry® is best suited for men and women dealing with excessive sweating, particularly in the underarms. During your complimentary consultation, we can help you determine if miraDry® is the best treatment option for you.
What is miraDry® Treatment Like?
Before your treatment, local anesthesia will be administered to assure maximum comfort. Our provider will mark the area with a temporary tattoo. After your underarms have been numbed and the area is prepped for treatment, the miraDry® handpiece will be placed directly on your skin. You will feel a slight suction as your skin and sweat glands are brought closer to the skin’s surface. Finally the thermal energy is delivered, heating and destroying the sweat and odor glands.
Is There Any Downtime After miraDry® Treatment?
Most patients describe the miraDry® treatment as painless. The local anesthesia administered to the under arms helps minimize discomfort. Patients can come in, get treated, and return to their normal activities the same day. You may experience swelling, soreness, tingling and numbness in the treated area, but these effects typically fade within a week.
When Will I See Results from My miraDry® Treatment?
After your miraDry® treatment, you will notice a reduction of sweat instantly. Since sweat glands don’t regenerate, your results should be permanent. Many patients do not need to use deodorant or antiperspirant after treatment.
