Micropeel in Portland, ME

A Micropeel is a combination of two popular skin care treatments, providing added benefits in just one treatment. Cosmetic Enhancement Center of New England offers this treatment to the men and women living in and around Portland, Maine.

What is a Micropeel?

Micropeels in Portland, MEA Micropeel is our signature “peel-less peel” treatment. This peel includes Dermaplaning to remove dead skin cells and peach fuzz. Removing the dead skin cells and fine vellus hair from the skin provides deeper skincare product penetration and smoother makeup application.

After the Dermaplaning, our aestheticians will apply the ZO Skin Health Stimulator Peel. This peel is a blend of lactic, citric, and glycolic acids that work to exfoliate dead skin cells and minimize the appearance of fine lines and surface pigment.

Patients will experience a smoother, brighter, and glowing complexion which makes our Micropeel the perfect treatment to do before a big event!

What Can I Expect from the Micropeel Treatment?

The Micropeel treatment begins with a cleanse to remove any makeup, oil, dirt, or any other impurities on the skin. Once the cleanse is complete and the skin is dry, our aestheticians will begin Dermaplaning. This is performed using a scalpel to manually exfoliate dead skin cells and vellus hair from the face.

The ZO Skin Health Stimulator Peel will be applied to the skin for a set amount of time. You may experience a warm or tingling sensation during this process. After the appropriate amount of time has passed, the chemical peel solution will be removed, an SPF product will be applied, and the treatment will be complete.

What is the Micropeel Recovery Like?

With the Micropeel, there is generally no downtime. Patients with sensitive skin may experience redness, which generally subsides within a few hours.
