Microdermabrasion is a non-chemical skin treatment that uses microcrystals to remove the upper layer of dead and damaged skin cells. What is the Microdermabrasion Treatment Like?
The microdermabrasion treatment is typically performed without any anesthetic. During treatment, a handheld device is used to deliver a stream of microcrystals to the skin. This gently exfoliates the treatment area, eliminating imperfections and revealing smoother, brighter skin. Once the entire treatment area is addressed, the treatment is complete. This process typically takes about 30 minutes.
Is There Any Downtime After Microdermabrasion?
After microdermabrasion, there is no downtime necessary. In some cases, patients may experience minor redness in the skin for a few hours. However, patients are typically able to return to work and other normal activities immediately following their appointment.
When Will I See Results from My Microdermabrasion Treatment?
The results from your microdermabrasion treatment will be visible immediately, and will become more visible as any minor side effects fade. You will notice that the skin is brighter and smoother. We typically recommend a series of microdermabrasion treatments in order to achieve optimal results.
