An intense pulsed light (IPL) photofacial, uses quick bursts of light energy to reduce the effects of aging and enhance skin tone and texture. How Much Does an IPL Photofacial Cost?
The cost of your IPL photofacial treatment at Cosmetic Enhancement Center of New England will depend on a number of factors. During your free consultation, we will discuss your treatment goals to determine the approach to your IPL photofacial treatment that will work best for you.
Some patients may need multiple treatment sessions. We will consider these and other factors in order to provide you with the full cost of your treatment during your consultation. To make this and other services more affordable, we are proud to offer financing through CareCredit®.
What is the IPL Photofacial Treatment Like?
The IPL photofacial treatment does not require any anesthetic. However, we often apply a topical solution to help cool the skin and maximize comfort. During the treatment, the IPL device will be passed over the skin as light energy is emitted. This process is not painful, although many patients compare it to the feeling of a rubber band being snapped on the skin. The treatment is typically performed in less than an hour.
What is the IPL Photofacial Recovery Like?
After your IPL photofacial, your skin will be somewhat sensitive. You will need to limit sun exposure and avoid hot showers, saunas and similar environments for a few days after treatment. However, you will be able to resume most normal activities within a day of your appointment.
What Kind of Results Can I Expect from an IPL Photofacial?
The results from your IPL photofacial will become increasingly visible in the weeks following treatment as the skin heals and collagen takes effect in the body. Many patients will need multiple treatments to achieve their desired results, and will enjoy continued improvements with each additional treatment.
