Dysport® is a popular Botox® alternative also made from botulinum toxin type A. Like Botox®, it is an injectable treatment for moderate to severe facial wrinkles. Dysport® was available internationally for 10 years before it received FDA approval in the US in 2009.
Dysport® contains fewer proteins than Botox®, so the body breaks it down more slowly. This offers options to Botox® patients whose bodies have developed antibodies to the treatment, and are no longer able to achieve their desired results with Botox®. Dysport® can help reduce the appearance of frown lines, crow’s feet, and forehead wrinkles.

How Much Does Dysport Cost?
Your Dysport® treatment at Cosmetic Enhancement Center of New England will depend on a number of factors. During your free consultation, we will discuss your treatment goals to determine the approach to your Dysport® treatment that will work best for you.
Some patients may need multiple treatment sessions. We will consider these and other factors in order to provide you with the full cost of your treatment during your consultation. To make this and other services more affordable, we are proud to offer financing through CareCredit®.
Am I A Good Candidate for Dysport Injections?
Dysport® is a suitable treatment for men and women of all ages, and may be best for patients who are no longer achieving their desired results with Botox®. If you are experience facial wrinkles such as crow’s feet, forehead wrinkles or frown lines, you may be a good candidate for the Dysport® treatment. During your consultation, we can help you determine if Dysport® is the best facial line fillers treatment option for you.
What is the Dysport Treatment Like?
The injections involved in the Dysport® treatment are quick and mild, so patients don’t need to be concerned about a painful treatment. We can even provide a topical numbing solution to minimize any discomfort.
The number and exact location of your injections will depend on your treatment goals. A Dysport® treatment typically takes less than 30 minutes to perform, which is why it and many other injectable treatments have become known as “lunch-time” cosmetic treatments.
Is There Any Downtime After Dysport Injections?
There is no downtime or recovery period required after the Dysport® treatment. Patients can come in, get treated with Dysport® , and return to their normal activities the same day. You may notice some minor swelling or redness in the treatment area due to the injections, but these effects typically fade within a day or two of treatment.
When Will I See Results from My Dysport Treatment?
After the Dysport® treatment, it usually takes a few days for the formula to take effect and the results to become visible. The results from Dysport® typically last about four to six months. These results can be easily extended with maintenance treatments.
