Age and Sun Spots

Age and sun spots refer to the brownish spots that appear on ones face and body, over time as a result of overexposure to the sun. As we age our skin is subjected to more and more sun damage. The skin absorbs sunlight and over time our skins natural ability to fend off UV rays begins to deteriorate and melanin is deposited. Age and Sun spots typically do not constitute a serious medical condition, and are removed for cosmetic reasons.
